New Seminar: Empirical Practicum on Human-Robot Interaction

Lupe

In the Summer Semester of 2021, we are offering a new seminar on the subject of human-robot interaction, as part of the cognitive psychology specialization. The seminar teaches students the psychological and neurophysiological principles of social human-human and human-robot interactions and provides information about the design of social robots and their possible uses in modern society. An essential part of the seminar is the implementation of an empirical research project (in groups), which teaches students the essential basic components of scientific work: literature research, formulation of a research question, programming of an online experiment, data collection, evaluation and interpretation, writing a scientific publication (in the form of a conference paper; e.g. for the annual HFES or IEEE / APA Technology, Mind and Society conference). The seminar is interdisciplinary and suitable for students in human factors, engineering and computer science. The seminar is offered in English.

Detailed information regarding the seminar here, as well as in ISIShttps://isis.tu-berlin.de/course/view.php?id=24732.
